01 Who we are

"TiaoLi" (and "we", "us", "our") refers to TiaoLi, a wellness application and the team that builds it. "You" refers to the person using TiaoLi — whether on iOS, Android, or our website.

By creating an account or using TiaoLi, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

02 What TiaoLi is (and isn't)

TiaoLi is a wellness companion inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine. We offer general lifestyle suggestions — recipes, teas, gentle movement, and educational content — to support your daily wellbeing.

TiaoLi is not:

— Important
Nothing in TiaoLi should be considered medical advice. Before changing your diet, starting an exercise practice, taking herbs or supplements, or making any health-related decision, consult a qualified healthcare provider.

03 Your account

You're responsible for:

You may not share your account with anyone else, use someone else's account without permission, or create accounts using automated means.

04 Subscriptions & payment

Free tier

The constitution assessment and basic features of TiaoLi are free to use. We may limit certain features or content to subscribers.

Paid subscriptions

Refunds

Subscriptions are generally non-refundable, but we follow the refund policies of the platform you subscribed through (Apple, Google, or directly with us). If you believe you're entitled to a refund, please contact us — we want you to be happy with TiaoLi.

Founding members

If you joined our early access waitlist and accepted founding-member pricing, that price applies to your subscription for as long as it remains continuously active. Lapsed subscriptions may need to renew at standard pricing.

05 Acceptable use

We ask that you use TiaoLi respectfully and lawfully. You agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

06 Content & intellectual property

Our content

All recipes, teas, articles, design elements, the TiaoLi brand name (and 调理), and the underlying software are owned by TiaoLi and protected by intellectual property laws. You may use this content for your personal, non-commercial wellness purposes — sharing a recipe with a friend is fine; reselling our recipe library is not.

Your content

Anything you contribute (check-ins, questions, feedback) remains yours. By providing it, you grant us a limited license to use it to provide and improve the service. We will never sell your content or use it in commercial advertising without your consent.

Feedback

If you send us suggestions, we may use them freely to improve TiaoLi without obligation to you.

07 AI-generated content

TiaoLi uses AI (large language models) to generate personalized recommendations. Please understand:

— A note on AI fallibility
AI helps us scale personalized wellness, but it is not infallible. Approach AI suggestions the way you would suggestions from a thoughtful friend: useful starting points, not absolute prescriptions.

08 Disclaimers & limitation of liability

TiaoLi is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties about uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or the suitability of recommendations for your specific situation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations of liability. In those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

09 Termination

You can terminate at any time by deleting your account from the app settings. Cancellation of a paid subscription doesn't delete your account; you'll need to do that separately.

We can terminate your access if:

If we terminate your account without cause, we will pro-rate any prepaid subscription and refund the unused portion.

10 Disputes & governing law

If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first at legal@tiaoli.app. We will try to resolve it informally within 30 days.

If we can't resolve it, these terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which TiaoLi's operating entity is registered. Disputes will be resolved in courts located in that jurisdiction, except where local consumer protection law gives you the right to bring claims in your home jurisdiction.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

11 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our service evolves. For material changes, we will notify you by email and/or in-app notification at least 30 days before they take effect. By continuing to use TiaoLi after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.

If you don't accept a change, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account before the change takes effect.
